Taberna is home to many military families, active duty and retired. Todd Denson, a USMC Harrier pilot and Taberna resident, died in an aircraft training incident while he and his wife, Melissa, lived in Taberna.  Our neighborhood park is named after Todd. It is open from dawn until dusk, and has a Bocce court, a horseshoe pit, an enclosed dog run area, grills, a picnic area, and a playground.

Naturpark:  The park’s name is of Swiss origin in keeping with the theme of Taberna. It sits on the western end of our development on Brice’s Creek. It is home to canoes that are available free to homeowners, a gazebo with picnic table, a dock with bench for fishing or viewing, and a hiking trail.

The privately owned Taberna Country Club is centrally located in Taberna. The club house’s design is based on a famous old castle in Bern, Switzerland. The golf course and driving range are open to the public. Use of the tennis, the outdoor pool, and dining is member only.

The golf course at Taberna Country Club is considered by many to be the area’s finest. Along with our beautiful, semi-private 225-acre golf course, we offer a member only club facilities that provide an array of fabulous amenities for our members and guests.

Our membership plans allow for a variety of individual and family needs and interests, promoting a sense of wellness, friendships, and involvement. Special educational programs, golf, tennis, a variety of dining options and of course our 25-yard six lane pool, all serve to make Taberna the club of choice for so many.

The Taberna Country Club pool and tennis courts provide members and their guests with a safe, supervised and healthy environment for summer recreation. A poolside snack bar is also available (limited hours) every day except Monday.
